There are at least 8 bandits in the first scenario. > Law Bringer - Kill 20 Bandits or Cultists. While it can be argued that some other goals could be achieved quicker, constantly long-resting in the first room of the first scenario and resetting after your death could nab you another character. This is at the top of the list for a reason. > Zealot of the Blood God - Become exhausted 12 times. I would admit, playing through the game a second time around trying this method could be fun. By playing the first scenario repeatedly, you will level up your characters, which will in detriment, scale up enemies before you can get your foot out of the first dungeon. I 100% recommend resetting your game if all of your characters can only choose HARD tier goals right off the beginning.Įarn 15 perk checks.Ěre ALL unlockable simply from grinding on the very first scenario. Stalling the retirement of your character isn't good for the party or the town of Gloomhaven. If you really like your character, you can always play again as the same one after retiring Increasing town prosperity brings more items to your local merchants,ĪND ALLOWS YOU TO MAKE NEW CHARACTERS AT A HIGHER LEVEL WHEN YOU RETIRE. By finishing a Personal Goal, you retire your character, unlock a new one, and gain 1 Prosperity for the town of Gloomhaven. You will most likely have to replay a couple of scenarios to do so. While it is important to push through scenarios and play what is available to you, it is A MUST that you meet your personal goals whenever you can. some of the mentioned goals that are listed under "Hard" could easily be completed later in the game when scenarios and enemy types have already been discovered. And don't worry about "more difficult" goals later on. Not to sway your direction of which new classes you should play as first, this guide is to aid in avoiding choosing the hardest goals early on, leading in having to play a majority of the game as starter characters. With my experience in Gloomhaven both digitally and in the physical format with a full group of 4 players, I've arranged the Personal Goals in order of difficulty.
